Listening to Wisdom of the Heart - HeartLink Insights, December 2009The Emotional Heart This holiday, let’s choose to listen deeply to the wisdom in our heart, embrace emotion that arises, and take the necessary steps to be true to ourselves and others. Go that extra mile…. The festive season brings up different feelings for everyone. Some people will experience incredible joy and appreciation. They will connect with out-of-town loved ones, re-unite with friends of years passed, or celebrate the addition of a spouse or beautiful newborn baby. For others, the holiday is a highly stressful and emotional time that stirs up deep-rooted grief and sadness. There are often heartfelt reminders of loved ones passed, aloneness due to a separation, and even guilt for lack of communicating with someone we care for.
For myself this year, I am filled with both sadness and gratitude. I feel sorrow from a separation with my boyfriend this fall, who I continue to feel tremendous love for and see the possibilities of a great life together. In listening to my heart’s wisdom, I realize the separation was necessary to encourage a profound awakening within us both. There were aspects of ourselves we denied, places within that needed to be visited – to meet ourselves. We’ve created an opportunity by choice, to trust our internal guidance towards greater self-love. In gratitude, I am deeply appreciative for the incredible gift of friendship, family, and the lives of people I’ve positively impacted. By expressing the truth in my heart, as well as educating on quality health supplements that work, I’ve seen lives improve and people feel great again!
By maintaining an authentic connection with our heart, we can weather any storm. Ask yourself, “How willing am I to feel ANY and ALL emotion that arises?” Be honest. Do you tend to ignore emotion by distracting yourself, and placing your attention on something or someone else? Do your emotions: Frighten you? “Emotions may not feel sexy, or good in any way, yet experiencing them fully is the magical key to unlocking the Heart.” – Colleen Wynia In order to ‘hear’ our internal voice, to apply the wisdom for making optimal choices, we must first allow our emotion to exist. In allowing the sensation, we can easily transform deep-rooted limiting beliefs that hold us back from our dreams, while inviting peace within. Permanent change at the cellular level is absolutely possible, and will come much faster when we make friends with the pain, the tears, the discomfort, the anger, and even the rage. Breathe deeply and consciously through the feeling, as this will help tremendously. By allowing a sensation to impact our body, while aligning our thoughts of how we wish to feel, we will end the resistance to pushing away or creating distraction. Choose to believe or not, all emotion is an energy vibration, which is preceded by a thought, a thought that is generally deeply rooted in a fear based belief, triggering the pain we feel. The more we allow, while playing detective with self, the lighter we will feel. More and more of us know that how we feel on the INSIDE is exactly what we reflect and co-create on the OUTSIDE. Our relationships improve, our family and friends like us more (well, mostly!), our income grows, and our creations are magical and real. Every single one of our creations stems from how we feel and align our thoughts. Two great teachers of the Law of Attraction are Esther & Jerry Hicks: Abraham-Hicks.com In appreciation and gratitude to my clients in 2009, I wish to extend a HOLIDAY GIFT. As well, make a few recommendations of people with excellent services who have positively impacted my life.

Each day, more people are making healthier choices for living a long, quality life. At the same time, statistics indicate serious illness is on the rise. New cases of cancer, heart and stroke, and many more are present in daily conversations…someone who knows someone. This type of financial protection allows a person the opportunity to focus on a return to optimal health while easing the possible financial stress that often accompanies illness when one may not be able to work or run their business. Is Stress Impacting Your Well-being? - HeartLink Insights, September 2009A Personal Opinion Now, more than ever before, we are being guided to go inside, listen to our voices and hearts, and seek ways to simplify our lives to reduce stress and enjoy optimal healthy living. Our bodies, minds and spirit are feeling the collective pressure of global change. Triggered by our desire to expand personally & professionally, address our health needs, meet business and family commitments, and respond to economic shifts, our bodies are facing information overload. Sometimes, this translates as feelings of extreme overwhelm. We may lash out at those closest to us, assuming the problem is outside of ourselves, in the other person or situation. Some of us are experiencing feelings that consist of a pressure cooker bubbling over or a daily emotional rollercoaster ride. If we continue to look outside ourselves, blame the other driver, the unhappy customer or our spouse, we will never reveal to ourselves what’s eating us.
In truth, we are meant to live joyful, prosperous, loving, passionate lives. Most of us, at one time or another, will operate from our ancient beliefs passed down from generation to generation. Through cellular memory, the cells in our body store every experience we’ve been exposed to, including limiting thoughts about ourselves that we believed to be true. The cellular voice may communicate such ideas as: “I’m not good enough, talented enough, successful enough, pretty enough.” Becoming aware of our limiting thoughts, which are non-true beliefs about ourselves and others, will assist to transform these thoughts into something better. One way to achieve this is through the simplicity of taking time to relax and go within.
When making time to unwind and go within, we begin to hear ourselves more deeply. By treating ourselves lovingly, our true thoughts and emotions can be revealed. From this place of relaxation and inner quiet, we can then decide what beliefs work for us and which old stories no longer serve our well-being. There are endless ways to de-Stress. Listen to your heart to guide you in selecting what works best for you. Here are a few of my suggestions that may help you better respond to stress. Say “good-bye” to limiting beliefs and live your best life.

Did you know that consumers are spending a mind-boggling $80 billion annually to combat stress and fatigue through mood enhancers, sleep aids, energy drinks, coffee, and more? I was blown away by this number! These temporary ‘fix-it’ aids are not a solution. They are at very best a band-aid, never addressing the real reason. I’ve also been educating myself about cortisol, a major stress hormone that when out of balance, contributes to health concerns like depression, weight gain, osteoporosis and hypertension. Brand new to the Wellness industry is a natural solution called Eleviv. Eleviv is helping people improve VIGOR. In psychology terms, vigor is scientifically measurable and refers to: Physical Energy, Emotional Balance & Mental Acuity. Living from our Heart's Desire - HeartLink Insights, July 2009A Personal Update The summer started with a Celebration of Life as my Grandfather, Russell Nelles, crossed over from the physical to Spirit. Although Gramps, as I affectionately referred to him, lived a long life of 94 years, his crossing naturally brought up grief for my family and me. The emotional reminder of how it feels to lose a father was re-visited, as it’s been 14 years since my father Gerry passed over. One of the things I value the most is the teachings Gramps instilled in our family around working hard and never giving up. During a generation of extreme times in his early years raising a family and running a farm, Gramps taught his children and grandchildren the benefits of hard work paying off. Gramps, you are in my heart!
When we feel with every breath and bone in our body, that something is true to us, the power of belief, desire, commitment, persistence and patience will indeed help us prosper. If we are seeking money and a certain lifestyle, but moving forward without a fire in our belly and passion in our heart, we can forget about it, as whatever we are doing will not survive long - at least not with any true substance and solid foundation for unlimited growth. We’ve heard it before: “Follow your Heart and Success will come.” In those times that so many of us have experienced, if we feel financially strapped and outright stressed, it’s easy to sway from our true passion, all because we are unable to recognize tangible, immediate results. Be encouraged, be inspired, and be true to you, as it will indeed pay off. Have you seen this? The Extra Degree: www.212movie.com
When we listen to the wisdom inside our hearts, and decide to commit to our truth, we always choose the optimal path for ourselves and encourage the best for everyone else. To know what feels true to our heart is very natural, very innate. With practice, we get faster at recognizing our truth. What gets in our way of determining the best direction to take, is other people’s judgements, other people’s perceptions, other people’s beliefs, and other people’s plans. I challenge you to make a commitment. Choose to take wise actions to enhance your personal health, deepen your connection to your wants and needs, and improve communication between the people you most care about. This will create success in life from the inside out.
Stress is a HUGE factor in our health. We may not be able to prevent the overwhelming angles of stressful situations coming our way, but we can influence our response to stress. For years, Naturopaths, Nutritionists and Homeopaths have been treating related diseases in the body with natural botanicals. Did you know that hormone balance plays a key factor in stress response? Did you know that cortisol, the major stress hormone, contributes to weight gain, depression, osteoporosis, and hypertension? In Dr. Talbott’s book, The Cortisol Connection, learn what can be done to support hormonal balance and better deal with stress. Dr. Shawn Talbott, Ph.D. in Nutritional Biochemistry, has done extensive research on metabolism, weight loss, sports nutrition and human performance. Please enjoy: The Cortisol Connection, online preview Later this month, Dr. Talbott will be behind the launch of a BRAND NEW health supplement, creating a new category in the Wellness Industry, addressing 70-80% of the reasons people visit their doctors – STRESSED, TIRED AND DEPRESSED. What Harmful Ingredients are in your Personal Care Products? - HeartLink Insights, March 2009Health, Wellness and living a good life are essential and important to us all. In the past 15 years, I have witnessed an alarming number of family members, friends, and clients endure a wide range of health problems, including fatal conditions such as cancer. Dis-ease is a process that occurs over a period of time and there are numerous factors contributing to the arrival of an illness. In understanding that we are ‘energy’ and the cells in our bodies respond positively or negatively to every single experience and the environment we expose ourselves to, we must make choices that are alive, nurturing, and loving to lead a vibrant, healthy life. There are lifestyle choices that contribute to cancer and other illness. On a daily basis, our bodies are bombarded with toxins; harsh chemicals in our food, water, household and personal care products. This edition of HeartLink Insights will discuss the toxins and harmful ingredients found in personal care products, reference some alarming studies, and introduce a revolutionary skin nutrition line that is the first skin care to be 100% clean, safe for our bodies and the environment, and highly results oriented with tremendous anti-aging properties. Ingredients in your Personal Care Products may be dangerous to your health Many cosmetics, skin care and beauty products contain harsh chemicals that are being linked to poor health and even dis-ease. A recent study by the Environmental Working Group (EWG) found startling results about personal care products on the market today: • 33% contain ingredients linked to cancer • 45% contain ingredients that may be harmful to the reproductive system or to a baby’s development • 60% have ingredients that can act like estrogen or disrupt hormones Another study by the EWG stated that only 11 percent of the 10,500 ingredients in beauty products have been tested for safety. Of the ingredients tested, a high percentage were found to be toxic chemicals linked to cancer, reproductive disorders, respiratory concerns and even biological mutations. Further to the study, women use on average 12 personal care products daily. In June 2004, a survey of 2,300 adults was conducted by the Environmental Working Group and Campaign for Safe Cosmetics about personal care use. Under current trends, the survey concluded an average of more than 160 chemicals is absorbed through the skin every day. The 12 Most Toxic Ingredients to Avoid The skin is our largest organ in the body, and some even refer to the skin as the 2nd kidney. Our personal care products are absorbed into the skin, so even trace amounts of harmful toxins may set up an environment for the early stage of dis-ease or illness. I am discovering that even the most commonly used and best known skin care products in the market today often have a percentage of chemicals in their ingredients. To research the toxicity level in some of the personal care products you may use, visit the EWG’s Skin Deep Cosmetic Safety Database: CosmeticDataBase.com and enter a Product, Ingredient or Company. The European Union has banned many of these chemicals, though in the United States and Canada our products continue to be manufactured and sold unregulated. I invite you to research your bathroom cupboards and toiletry kits for the following common toxic ingredients to avoid: Propylene Glycol (PG) and Butylene Glycol Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLS) & Sodium Laureth Sulfate (SLES) DEA (diethanolanine). MEA (Monoethanolankine) & TEA (trieethanolamine) Sodium Hydroxide Tricolsan DMDM & Urea (Imadazolidinyl) Polyethylene Glycol (PEG) Parabens Alcohol, Isopropyl (SD-40) Mineral Oil FD&C Color Pigments Fragrances For details on these common harmful ingredients, visit: TheCosmeticConspiracy.com Glimpse, Intuitive Skin Nutrition by XanGo™ Following the inception of XanGo Juice™ 6 years ago, made from the whole Mangosteen fruit, a Billion Dollar company with a single product, XanGo™ has launched Glimpse Intuitive Skin Care. Network Marketing: The Abundance Factor - HeartLink Insights, May 2008Daily I meet people who either have a career they are less than 110% passionate about, often stressed and unfulfilled because of the time taken away from their families or doing what they love most, OR they are passionate about their profession, yet not earning the income potential that would provide the Financial and Time Freedom desired. I have found a way to continue doing the work I love, while growing an escalating monthly residual income for years to come. It’s a home-based business opportunity with one of the Fastest Growing companies in North America, growing faster than e-Bay, marketing a highly consumable, highly emotional product that is truly changing lives in a reputable and exciting industry called Network Marketing. I invite you to view my website: www.colleenwynia.mymangosteen.com My purpose in writing this is not to recruit or sell you anything. My purpose is to EDUCATE you on Network Marketing, a vehicle that is positively enhancing my life, the people I care about, and thousands of individuals worldwide – healthwise and financially too! Many of you are already involved in Network Marketing to some degree or learning about this natural and effective means of people sharing a good product, word-of-mouth marketing, while others have a disbelief this industry is reputable, much less a viable way to earn a living. Or better yet, create a fortune enabling you to do what you TRULY LOVE. I was first introduced to this industry at 18 years of age. I saw an incredible opportunity to change my life through marketing water purification filters. I knew the world needed this product, I knew word-of-mouth marketing was effective, yet I didn’t believe deep enough in myself to have the confidence to maintain the course it would take to introduce people to this fabulous product and business opportunity. I was scared to talk to people, look them in the eye and stand up for my belief. I took out a loan to purchase inventory, dabbled a bit, received some “No’s”, and then gave up. Although I feel discomfort at times, I’m no longer scared to share what I absolutely believe will make a difference in your life and people you care about, if you wish to make a difference. If you are happy doing what you are doing and earning what you are earning, then awesome! If you want more time freedom to do what you love….more money to give back in a bigger way….a desire to reach more people and impact their lives healthwise and financially…then I invite you to read on! Network Marketing is the best kept secret in the business world today. It is quickly being embraced by leaders like Warren Buffett, the richest man in the world (I believe he still is today), who purchased The Pampered Chef, a Network Marketing company because he saw the power in Networks. Two of the world’s largest cosmetic companies, Avon and Mary Kay, are Network Marketing companies. Do you recognize products like Aloe Vera, Grape Seed Extract, Ginseng, and Ginkgo Biloba? All of these powerful botanicals were introduced to the world through Network Marketing.
“Network marketing has proven itself to be a viable and rewarding source of income….there have been some remarkable examples of success.” – Donald Trump, Why We Want You to be Rich “If you really want to learn how to be rich, you must begin to know and understand the power found in networks. The richest people in the world build networks.” – Robert Kiyosaki, speaking about network marketing “People need network marketing…It has carved out the essence or best part of retailing-educating people about products and services that will improve their lives and that they don’t yet know exist. That’s what network marketing is really about.” – Paul Zane Pilzer, economist and author of Unlimited Wealth What is unique about having a home-based business in Network Marketing is the residual nature of the income. In my client practice, I charge money for each consultation. In a Network Marketing business, you get paid on product sold as well as repeat sales the following month. Plus, you earn a percentage on products sold to people they refer. Because I understand the nature of employment and working for wages, and because I have experienced the struggles of establishing a business, working for an hourly rate or consultation fee, or getting paid on the completion of a project only to begin looking for the next, I feel strongly in my heart to dispel any beliefs that Networking Marketing, also known as Direct Marketing or Multi-Level Marketing (MLM) is anything but FABULOUS, DYNAMIC & the REAL DEAL!
In simplicity, Network Marketing is word-of-mouth marketing, people talking to people. In the same way you would recommend a great movie or excellent restaurant to a friend, with Network Marketing the company pays you a ‘thank you’ commission for every referral that purchases the product. How often do you receive cheques in the mail from a film production company or restaurant owner? Instead of paying thousands or millions of dollars in traditional distribution and advertising (ads, radio, magazines, newspapers, commercials, internet) to put a product on the store shelves and hope it’s the best decision to attract customers, a Network Marketing company has independent distributors to educate people about an innovative product new to market. In essence, the company’s advertising budget is paid out to the people who educate and spread the news.
There is a wealth of reasons to start a home-based business in Network Marketing versus traditional business. Too numerous to list them all, I’m highlighting a few key reasons: No risk, Low start-up cost, No inventory Network Marketing is a recession-proof industry, a way to create financial & time freedom to do more of what you love – time with family, take longer vacations, give back more time or money to your favourite organization, or whatever your heart will dream up. An interesting fact, The Direct Selling Association (DSA) reported that the Network Marketing industry generated $30 Billion in annual sales during 2005 in the United States alone. Love it or not, Network Marketing is a viable economic choice that’s here to stay.
Anybody! A Networking Marketing business is not for everyone, though anyone can build it! Stay-at-home parents, lawyers, doctors, retired couples, students, ages 18 – 108. Begin part-time, continuing your current profession as your residual income increases each month, until it replaces and exceeds your current wages. An extra $500 - $1000 can make a difference in most family’s life. If you treat it like a business, you can change your family’s life in 3-5 years earning an extra $5,000, $10,000, $20,000 per month or more. The great thing is YOU decide how much you want to earn and if you want to go full-time. Remember, this is escalating residual income and it’s absolutely different than wages.
Not all Network Marketing companies are equal. To succeed, you need to have solid factors in place including proven integral leadership, a highly consumable and highly emotional innovative product, and a lucrative compensation plan that works for everyone and is easy to understand. There are additional factors to consider too. The company I am working with is one of the Fastest Growing companies in North America of both traditional and Network Marketing companies, growing faster than e-Bay, projected to be in the top ten of all companies in the history of the world. The company sold in their first year more than Pepsi Cola did in their 34th year, and more in their 2nd year than it took IBM 30 years to reach. To succeed in the business aspect, you truly need to care about other people and discover what is best for them. I honestly believe long term success is in relationship building and as such is Number One on my list. I love this company and am extremely thankful to Jen Plaza, my client and friend who introduced this life-enhancing opportunity to me. Joy, Love & Abundance! Colleen Wynia |
Self Care: Essential for the Development of Your Craft - HeartLink Insights, October 2007
In researching this belief system with my mentors, friends and family, I learned that many individuals grew up in the same paradigm or belief structure. In talking with private clients for more than 6 years now, I’ve heard a common theme with them as well. As a result of this belief, there are countless times I have sacrificed my health and well-being, my state of peace and balance, by ignoring my body’s signals for rest, rejuvenation and self care. In a desire to develop our craft, be successful in business, improve our talents, or simply keep ourselves from what feels like drowning at times, we often neglect our heart’s calling to rest, nurture, and restore ourselves. Because we are a direct reflection of our craft and what we express to the world, self care is essential for the development of our craft.
If you desire a wonderful new relationship, visualize this person in your life right now and FEEL how you would feel in your body with them present. If you want your relationship to improve, FEEL it. If you desire a new vehicle, select a photo of this vehicle, picture it often, and FEEL yourself driving. This is the same approach for developing your craft – whether an actor, director, writer, singer, performer, lawyer, doctor, health professional, business owner, parent – you must FEEL THE ENERGY, a feel good vibration, in your body. For years, we’ve heard about the importance of affirmations and visualizations, yet these approaches do not work alone. We must breathe in and feel ourselves already in the experience of our desire. You are the expression of your craft, for it is through you the craft, and what you convey to the world, exists.
In your daily life, stored memory in the cells may show up as pain or discomfort in the physical body (neck, back, hips, anywhere) or heartache in the emotional body. The mental body may be distraught with intense dreams and frightful visions, or spiritually you may feel empty, alone, and unsure about your life and reasons for being here. At times it can be a niggling feeling that you may not be able to place your finger on. It can be helpful to become aware of what the cellular memory relates to, however, it is not essential to KNOW it to release, or rather transform it. The only requirement is to FEEL – which invites you to surrender and embrace the present emotion. Can you imagine: nothing TO DO, simply TO BE? Though challenging for many of us, myself included, when I do give myself permission to slow down, go inside and allow my experience to unfold, wow, I’m blessed EVERYTIME. I feel better, more energized! My business perks up, the phone rings more often. Incredible people show up in my life to support me and my craft in ways I could never imagine. This is the result of me choosing to love myself, gifting myself more self care. Methods of Self Care First, by ensuring clients are aware of the amazing health prevention benefits of Mangosteen Juice, an effective anti-oxidant and the most powerful, natural anti-inflammatory in the marketplace today. There are more than 40 years of scientific studies and thousands and thousands of happy people around the world. Second, in private consultation. Each session integrates ESM (Energetic Self Manifestation), drawing from a unique combination of: Deep Tissue Massage – sports & active bodies, whole body rejuvenation As a Spiritual counsellor and Intuitive Massage practitioner, Colleen Wynia draws upon her more than 10 years’ experience in Spiritual Guidance and Bodywork to support you in connecting to your Body and Heart for living joyously, particularly in the development and expansion of your craft. What is Love? - HeartLink Insights, July 2007
It was a sincere question, yet one I could not easily define in that moment. I realize that love is much bigger, broader, and deeper than I could explain in words. Love is who we are and all that we connect with. Love is our true nature. Love is genuine. In absolute simplicity, LOVE IS TRUTH. I am drawn to share with you a “glimmer” of how love, in its most genuine way, presents itself through aspects of my life. It is my wish for you to receive from this message a reminder that will awaken or deepen your natural state of love for self and others.
Love is about sharing the message and allowing an individual the freedom to decide if our message fits or aligns with them. It is about trusting there is indeed room for each of us to prosper. This level of trust takes belief in our self and faith that we reside in an abundant universe. As we align ourselves with work that inspires and even ignites us, we, as energy beings, resonate at a particular energetic level that naturally attracts a like vibration – a continuous flow of sales, new customers, fun-loving business associates, completing tasks with ease, increased profits, and inspirational ideas!!! In my business, I communicate from the heart and guide others in doing the same. I interface with the Energy, which is love, to support my clients in healing their mind, body, and heart. Each of us is innately whole and well, we need only to remember this and step out of our own way. The next time you are speaking with a client or business associate, focus every ounce of your attention on that person. Watch how people blossom like flowers, responding to your genuine interest. Ask questions about their life and listen intently to their reply. Most of us do this already, yet we can each improve the degree in which we listen. Our attention and time is the GREATEST GIFT we can give another.
My intention is to experience a loving relationship that flourishes and deepens for a life-time. That is my truth. To embrace this possibility, I must be true to the expression of LOVE and believe in my partner to do the same. Being honest, compassionate, an incredible listener, and extending forgiveness, each moment of every day, as best I can, permits growth, movement and positive change in both people. Love is honesty. Love is sharing what is important even when you think your words will impact or hurt another. Not for the purpose of inflicting pain, yet rather for instilling a deeper connection and trust. By enabling authentic communication, we drop our armor; lower our bridges, allowing positive transformation through a heart-felt exchange. In authentic love, there is no room for fear. FEAR does not exist. Fear exists rather in the mind, as a result of a future imposed question like ‘what if’? We’ve each experienced a feeling of fear in our bodies, and that emotion is absolutely real, yet fear is derived from our mind’s concern about the future. Being in a state-of-fear, cancels out love, while feeling the fear and moving forward transforms fear and replaces it with LOVE – our natural state-of-being.
As Spiritual energy beings, we are each inter-connected. When we change form, this does not change the love we have for another, or their love for us. I read from Marianne Williamson’s book titled “The Gift of Change”, a symbolic expression of our interconnectivity. Marianne writes the following: "Look at the spokes on a bicycle wheel. At the rim, each spoke is separated from all the others. At the hub, each spoke is one with all the others. Each of us is like one of those spokes, connected with all others at the center, at our spiritual hub. What we do to others, is what we do to ourselves. Loving another is an extension of loving ourselves. The reverse is also true.
May you expand your depth of loving self and loving another, in business, relationship and beyond. Blessings & Love to you! Colleen Wynia |
Remembering Who We Are - HeartLink Insights, April 2007
In times of challenge, we may question ourselves – outwardly and inwardly. Am I making the best choice, choosing the right action or missing something altogether? What is my purpose, who am I and why have I chosen to experience this? When adversity strikes we find ourselves in uncomfortable and often very painful circumstances, questioning what we already know deep within to be true. We find it difficult to stay the course in what we believe. We may second guess ourselves, because of the adversarial experience, choosing doubt rather than belief. Am I enough? Wise enough, courageous enough, kind enough, intelligent enough, persistent enough, believing enough, relaxed enough, listening enough, expressing enough, aggressive enough, attractive enough, rich enough, healthy enough, fit enough, spiritual enough, educated enough, passionate enough….and the list grows on. These thoughts are essentially the beauty of our mind challenging us to connect with our true nature, that which is love. The very fact that we exist is enough. Reason enough to embrace our inheritance – our abundance – and to deeply trust ourselves, our insights and knowingness. What I am referring to is not so much choosing between the health benefits of a fresh fruit bowl or double fudge chocolate cake for dessert, than I am speaking to the deep-rooted knowingness within about our magnificence and right to be here, in body and in spirit! There is magnificence to venturing into personal discovery. It does not, however, feel so wonderful when we forget our truth.
In that moment of doubt I heard the lyrics from Avril Lavigne’s song on the radio and I knew THE TRUTH. In the sentence “There’s no other way when it comes to THE TRUTH” I knew my only business at hand was to refocus my attention back onto what I already knew deep within to be true. That I am doing enough, being enough, loving enough… We have all second guessed ourselves at one time or another. Perhaps once a day, perhaps several hundred times per day. I doubted myself because I was focused on the outward appearances of my life not looking the way “I think it should look” if I was truly on path and living my truth.
Universally connected, we share our Oneness with similar needs and requirements. We desire to love and be loved, to raise a family, to grow our businesses and career, to maintain healthy bodies, to play and laugh, and much more. Individually, we have uniqueness, a personal flavour, a way of expressing and sharing ourselves in the world. We each have a wonderful gift and it is our responsibility to discover and bring this forward. Everything we experience and all that we do assists us to connect with our unique flavour, allowing us to taste who we are more each day. It is not so much in what we DO, as much as how we choose to BE when we are doing it. In remembering who we are collectively and connecting with our unique flavour, we remember we are love and have a special way of expressing that love. In returning to this awareness and embracing the feeling behind it, we will connect more whole heartedly with our truth. We will attract to us the life we desire to live, achieve our dreams and know that we are enough! The very fact that we exist, spiritual beings in a human body, is permission for us to live in abundance and express ourselves authentically and fully to the world and everyone we share our lives with. To embrace and move beyond adversity, we must stay the course. This is where the rubber meets the road.
10 Tips for Remembering Who We Are: • Trust your intuition. Follow your heart and gut instinct when making decisions. • Celebrate yourself, the adversity you’ve overcome & successes achieved. • Appreciate yourself. Make a list of 10 things you like about yourself and read it daily. • Appreciate a loved one. Call, write or connect in-person to share a kind word. • Discover the truth. Take time to explore yourself through meditation, journaling, contemplation, prayer, professional guidance, group sharing. • Choose to believe! When doubt arises, pivot and refocus on what you know is true. • Acquaint yourself with “The Secret” DVD and all the wonderful teachings on the Law of Attraction. A particularly fascinating read is: “Ask and It is Given: Learning to Manifest Your Desires” with Esther and Jerry Hicks. • When adversity or loss arises, give yourself permission to feel. Allow disappointment, pain or grief to arise, embrace the emotion fully, and place your attention on THE TRUTH. • Be your own leader. Know that you are enough. When you forget, have someone remind you! • Practice, practice, practice! Retraining our minds to send loving, supportive messages to the cells of our body takes our willingness.
