Reduce Stress: Massage & Bodywork Transforms Stress

November 28, 2011 by · Leave a Comment

The impact of daily Stress on our physical, mental and emotional body plays a leading role in our overall Wellness. Add in the holiday activities, additional spending and couple that with an already emotional season for many and Massage & Bodywork become an essential choice for dissolving and transforming all levels of stress.

Life stressors are numerous. Beginning with our family and the challenge of personal relationships (marriage, children, and aging parents), being an employee or operating a business, the chemicals and toxins present in our food and personal care products, to environmental toxins and political factors, Stress is global and affects everyone.

Add to daily Stress a traumatic experience such as a life threatening illness or the tragic death of a loved one and WAM, you feel Stress times 1000%. This increased level of Stress can be deeply debilitating and harmful in many ways. It is ABSOLUTELY possible to reduce the havoc Stress plays on the body, mind and spirit, as have been experienced by Colleen’s CLIENT SUCCESS STORIES.

Depending on our childhood and cultural conditioning, each individual responds to Stress differently. Some people experience Stress more dramatically, yet all of us to some degree momentarily tuck away the intense emotion into the tissues, joints, muscles, meridians and cells of the body – for brief or lengthy periods of time to survive. When extreme emotion is suppressed for an extended period of time, as often the case in ‘fight or flight’ survival mode, physical, emotional and mental health may be jeopardized. Read more

Allowing What is to Create What we Want

July 8, 2010 by · Leave a Comment

Being 100% Responsible

Imagine if you will that we are 100% responsible for everything in our experience. What would this mean to you? In what way would you connect with people? How would you treat yourself?

Joe Vitale, author of the bestselling The Attractor Factor and Dr. Ihaleakala Hew Len explain 100% accountability and responsibility through the ancient Hawaiian teachings of Ho’oponopono in their book Zero Limits: The Secret Hawaiian System for Wealth, Health, Peace and More.

Zero Limits talks about embracing Self I-Dentity and the truth being it only has to reach you, through me, as we are all one and it all happens inside. Is this confusing to understand? What does that really mean?

I believe it means that EVERYTHING starts with us. We create our lives, we chose our experiences, and we attract all that unfolds. This includes all the people in our lives with their pain and sorrow and joy and happiness, and with ours, joining together to make a difference because we are all part of the collective whole.

The First Step

The first step, the foundational step, to create what we want is to accept 100% responsibility and allow ‘what is’ at this VERY MOMENT. How often are we so focused on where we are going that we skip over where we are now? What successes have we reached that require celebrating? What blessings are we thankful for? What are we feeling in this moment? Read more

Belief in Our Desires

March 1, 2010 by · 1 Comment

Living As If

THINK as if, FEEL as if, BE as if, ACT as if you are already living your desires and the Universe will have no choice than to provide.

We talk about the ‘Law of Attraction’ and so many of us understand intellectually and believe this true. Yet, the very act of embracing and living each moment of every day as though we already have that which we desire seems so difficult at times. At least it has for me.

The real truth is we are already healthy, abundant, wise, peaceful, whole and complete beings as we are in this moment. We have the make-up and building blocks inside ourselves to attract, or rather allow in our requests. Our desires are magnetic, awaiting us to surrender and appreciate our beautiful, loving, amazing selves that create the thought responsible for our desires.

What Gets in Our Way?

So what gets in our way? We do. A combination of the impact of our Beliefs with the level of resistance we have to surrendering the non supporting belief(s), awards us exactly what we have in this moment. What is a Belief? Wikipedia describes Belief as “the psychological state in which an individual holds a proposition or premise to be true.” Read more

Listening to Wisdom of the Heart

December 10, 2009 by · Leave a Comment

The Emotional Heart

This holiday, let’s choose to listen deeply to the wisdom in our heart, embrace emotion that arises, and take the necessary steps to be true to ourselves and others. Go that extra mile….

The festive season brings up different feelings for everyone. Some people will experience incredible joy and appreciation. They will connect with out-of-town loved ones, re-unite with friends of years passed, or celebrate the addition of a spouse or beautiful newborn baby.

For others, the holiday is a highly stressful and emotional time that stirs up deep-rooted grief and sadness. There are often heartfelt reminders of loved ones passed, aloneness due to a separation, and even guilt for lack of communicating with someone we care for.

A Personal Experience

For myself this year, I am filled with both sadness and gratitude. I feel sorrow from a separation with my boyfriend this fall, who I continue to feel tremendous love for and see the possibilities of a great life together.

In listening to my heart’s wisdom, I realize the separation was necessary to encourage a profound awakening within us both. Read more

Is Stress Impacting Your Well-being?

September 10, 2009 by · Leave a Comment

A Personal Opinion

Now, more than ever before, we are being guided to go inside, listen to our voices and hearts, and seek ways to simplify our lives to reduce stress and enjoy optimal healthy living.

Our bodies, minds and spirit are feeling the collective pressure of global change. Triggered by our desire to expand personally & professionally, address our health needs, meet business and family commitments, and respond to economic shifts, our bodies are facing information overload.

Sometimes, this translates as feelings of extreme overwhelm. We may lash out at those closest to us, assuming the problem is outside of ourselves, in the other person or situation. Some of us are experiencing feelings that consist of a pressure cooker bubbling over or a daily emotional rollercoaster ride.

If we continue to look outside ourselves, blame the other driver, the unhappy customer or our spouse, we will never reveal to ourselves what’s eating us.  Read more

Living from our Heart’s Desire

July 10, 2009 by · Leave a Comment

A Personal Update

The summer started with a Celebration of Life as my Grandfather, Russell Nelles, crossed over from the physical to Spirit. Although Gramps, as I affectionately referred to him, lived a long life of 94 years, his crossing naturally brought up grief for my family and me. The emotional reminder of how it feels to lose a father was re-visited, as it’s been 14 years since my father Gerry passed over.

One of the things I value the most is the teachings Gramps instilled in our family around working hard and never giving up. During a generation of extreme times in his early years raising a family and running a farm, Gramps taught his children and grandchildren the benefits of hard work paying off. Gramps, you are in my heart!

Never Give Up

When we feel with every breath and bone in our body, that something is true to us, the power of belief, desire, commitment, persistence and patience will indeed help us prosper. If we are seeking money and a certain lifestyle, but moving forward without a fire in our belly and passion in our heart, we can forget about it, as whatever we are doing will not survive long – at least not with any true substance and solid foundation for unlimited growth.

We’ve heard it before: “Follow your Heart and Success will come.” In those times that so many of us have experienced, if we feel financially strapped and outright stressed, it’s easy to sway from our true passion, all because we are unable to recognize tangible, immediate results. Be encouraged, be inspired, and be true to you, as it will indeed pay off.

Have you seen this? The Extra Degree: www.212movie.com

Staying True to Heart

When we listen to the wisdom inside our hearts, and decide to commit to our truth, we always choose the optimal path for ourselves and encourage the best for everyone else. To know what feels true to our heart is very natural, very innate. With practice, we get faster at recognizing our truth.

What gets in our way of determining the best direction to take, is other people’s judgements, other people’s perceptions, other people’s beliefs, and other people’s plans. I challenge you to make a commitment. Choose to take wise actions to enhance your personal health, deepen your connection to your wants and needs, and improve communication between the people you most care about. This will create success in life from the inside out.

Tips:  Tapping into the Heart’s Wisdom

• Relaxation breathing, Rebirthing, Yoga
• Massage and Energy Bodywork for connection to your body’s wisdom
• Time in Nature (Beach, Mountains, garden) restores emotional balance
• Exercise brings clarity to your mind and clears the emotional body
• Ask yourself a question, take a deep breath, and trust what arrives first
• Allow emotion to be present so it may transform into something better
• Journal insights, ideas, dreams and ask for what you want
• Have courage to put your intuitive answers into action

What Harmful Ingredients are in your Personal Care Products?

March 10, 2009 by · Leave a Comment

Health, Wellness and living a good life are essential and important to us all. In the past 15 years, I have witnessed an alarming number of family members, friends, and clients endure a wide range of health problems, including fatal conditions such as cancer.  Dis-ease is a process that occurs over a period of time and there are numerous factors contributing to the arrival of an illness.

In understanding that we are ‘energy’ and the cells in our bodies respond positively or negatively to every single experience and the environment we expose ourselves to, we must make choices that are alive, nurturing, and loving to lead a vibrant, healthy life.

There are lifestyle choices that contribute to cancer and other illness. On a daily basis, our bodies are bombarded with toxins; harsh chemicals in our food, water, household and personal care products.

This edition of HeartLink Insights will discuss the toxins and harmful ingredients found in personal care products, reference some alarming studies, and introduce a revolutionary skin nutrition line that is the first skin care to be 100% clean, safe for our bodies and the environment, and highly  results oriented with tremendous anti-aging properties.

Ingredients in your Personal Care Products may be dangerous to your health

Many cosmetics, skin care and beauty products contain harsh chemicals that are being linked to poor health and even dis-ease. A recent study by the Environmental Working Group (EWG) found startling results about personal care products on the market today:

• 33% contain ingredients linked to cancer

• 45% contain ingredients that may be harmful to the reproductive system or to a baby’s development

• 60% have ingredients that can act like estrogen or disrupt hormones

Another study by the EWG stated that only 11 percent of the 10,500 ingredients in beauty products have been tested for safety. Of the ingredients tested, a high percentage were found to be toxic chemicals linked to cancer, reproductive disorders, respiratory concerns and even biological mutations.

Further to the study, women use on average 12 personal care products daily. In June 2004, a survey of 2,300 adults was conducted by the Environmental Working Group and Campaign for Safe Cosmetics about personal care use. Under current trends, the survey concluded an average of more than 160 chemicals is absorbed through the skin every day.

The 12 Most Toxic Ingredients to Avoid

The skin is our largest organ in the body, and some even refer to the skin as the 2nd kidney. Our personal care products are absorbed into the skin, so even trace amounts of harmful toxins may set up an environment for the early stage of dis-ease or illness.

I am discovering that even the most commonly used and best known skin care products in the market today often have a percentage of chemicals in their ingredients. To research the toxicity level in some of the personal care products you may use, visit the EWG’s Skin Deep Cosmetic Safety Database: CosmeticDataBase.com and enter a Product, Ingredient or Company.

The European Union has banned many of these chemicals, though in the United States and Canada our products continue to be manufactured and sold unregulated. I invite you to research your bathroom cupboards and toiletry kits for the following common toxic ingredients to avoid:

Propylene Glycol (PG) and Butylene Glycol
Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLS) & Sodium Laureth Sulfate (SLES)
DEA (diethanolanine). MEA (Monoethanolankine) & TEA (trieethanolamine)
Sodium Hydroxide
Tricolsan
DMDM & Urea (Imadazolidinyl)
Polyethylene Glycol (PEG)
Parabens
Alcohol, Isopropyl (SD-40)
Mineral Oil
FD&C Color Pigments
Fragrances

For details on these common harmful ingredients, visit: Skin Deep Cosmetics Database

XanGo Juice – Mangosteen’s Proven Health Benefits

Having experienced the death of many family members and loved ones due to cancer, heart disease, Alzheimer’s and other illness, I’ve become increasingly aware of the daily stressors placed on the physical body.

In addition to mental, emotional and spiritual factors, the human body is exposed to harsh chemicals in our food, personal care products and the environment that cause free radical damage to our cells. Free radical damage also comes from air and water pollution, cigarette smoke, and even rigorous exercise we endure to stay fit and healthy.

Scientists and medical professionals worldwide have written research articles about free radicals and the damage they cause our bodies. In Tame the Flame: Mangosteen’s Remedy for Chronic Disease, Dr. Sam Walters, N.M.D. explains:

There has been a great deal of discussion in recent years over free radicals and the damage they can cause in our bodies. Free radicals, in very simple terms, are molecules that are missing an electron. Because molecules usually need to be balanced, with a complete set of electrons, free radicals search for and attack stable molecules to balance themselves……This leaves otherwise healthy cells damaged in the process. Free radicals are like a dark force that attacks fatty cell membranes. This attack creates permanent cellular damage that builds up over time. This damage leads to aging problems such as heart disease, cancer, diabetes, arthritis, and degenerative brain problems.”

In even simpler language, free radical damage is Oxidation, a rusting of our cells that require high strains of Anti-oxidants to heal and renew. Anti-oxidants come to the rescue because they each have an extra electron that they are happy to share with free radicals. When a free radical bumps into an Anti-oxidant, the extra electron is given to the free radical, making it complete, neutralizing the attack.

With Mangosteen’s more than 40+ new class super-charged Anti-oxidants called Xanthones, we have something very, very special to share with the people we care about.

I know of no other fruit that has as many Xanthones or Anti-oxidants as the Mangosteen fruit!” – Dr. Sam Walters, N.M.D.

In addition to being the #1 Anti-oxidant, Mangosteen is a powerful Anti-inflammatory, and inflammation is being increasingly recognized as the root cause to most all disease. In fact, world renowned ethno botanist Dr. James Duke has referenced 202 biological activities found in the whole fruit Mangosteen, meaning you receive many health benefits in one.

Did you know…..? In a 2005 Skin Deep Report research found:

33% of commonly used personal care products contain ingredients linked to cancer.
45% contain ingredients harmful to the reproductive system or baby’s development.
60% contain ingredients which can act like estrogens or disrupt hormones.

Using green chemistry and a proprietary technology called Japanese biofermentation, the benefits of the Mangosteen are amplified, greatly protecting the skin against the oxidizing effects of free radicals. Network Marketing: The Abundance Factor

May 10, 2008 by · Leave a Comment

Daily I meet people who either have a career they are less than 110% passionate about, often stressed and unfulfilled because of the time taken away from their families or doing what they love most, OR they are passionate about their profession, yet not earning the income potential that would provide the Financial and Time Freedom desired.

I have found a way to continue doing the work I love, while growing an escalating monthly residual income for years to come. It’s a home-based business opportunity with one of the Fastest Growing companies in North America, growing faster than e-Bay, marketing a highly consumable, highly emotional product that is truly changing lives in a reputable and exciting industry called Network Marketing.

I invite you to view my website: www.colleenwynia.mymangosteen.com

My purpose in writing this is not to recruit or sell you anything. My purpose is to EDUCATE you on Network Marketing, a vehicle that is positively enhancing my life, the people I care about, and thousands of individuals worldwide – healthwise and financially too!

Many of you are already involved in Network Marketing to some degree or learning about this natural and effective means of people sharing a good product, word-of-mouth marketing, while others have a disbelief this industry is reputable, much less a viable way to earn a living. Or better yet, create a fortune enabling you to do what you TRULY LOVE.

I was first introduced to this industry at 18 years of age. I saw an incredible opportunity to change my life through marketing water purification filters. I knew the world needed this product, I knew word-of-mouth marketing was effective, yet I didn’t believe deep enough in myself to have the confidence to maintain the course it would take to introduce people to this fabulous product and business opportunity. I was scared to talk to people, look them in the eye and stand up for my belief. I took out a loan to purchase inventory, dabbled a bit, received some “No’s”, and then gave up.

Although I feel discomfort at times, I’m no longer scared to share what I absolutely believe will make a difference in your life and people you care about, if you wish to make a difference. If you are happy doing what you are doing and earning what you are earning, then awesome! If you want more time freedom to do what you love….more money to give back in a bigger way….a desire to reach more people and impact their lives healthwise and financially…then I invite you to read on!

Network Marketing is the best kept secret in the business world today. It is quickly being embraced by leaders like Warren Buffett, the richest man in the world (I believe he still is today), who purchased The Pampered Chef, a Network Marketing company because he saw the power in Networks.

Two of the world’s largest cosmetic companies, Avon and Mary Kay, are Network Marketing companies. Do you recognize products like Aloe Vera, Grape Seed Extract, Ginseng, and Ginkgo Biloba? All of these powerful botanicals were introduced to the world through Network Marketing.

What Do Business Experts say about Network Marketing?

“Network marketing has proven itself to be a viable and rewarding source of income….there have been some remarkable examples of success.” – Donald Trump, Why We Want You to be Rich

“If you really want to learn how to be rich, you must begin to know and understand the power found in networks. The richest people in the world build networks.” – Robert Kiyosaki, speaking about network marketing

“People need network marketing…It has carved out the essence or best part of retailing-educating people about products and services that will improve their lives and that they don’t yet know exist. That’s what network marketing is really about.” – Paul Zane Pilzer, economist and author of Unlimited Wealth

What is unique about having a home-based business in Network Marketing is the residual nature of the income. In my client practice, I charge money for each consultation. In a Network Marketing business, you get paid on product sold as well as repeat sales the following month. Plus, you earn a percentage on products sold to people they refer.

Because I understand the nature of employment and working for wages, and because I have experienced the struggles of establishing a business, working for an hourly rate or consultation fee, or getting paid on the completion of a project only to begin looking for the next, I feel strongly in my heart to dispel any beliefs that Networking Marketing, also known as Direct Marketing or Multi-Level Marketing (MLM) is anything but FABULOUS, DYNAMIC & the REAL DEAL!

What is Network Marketing?

In simplicity, Network Marketing is word-of-mouth marketing, people talking to people. In the same way you would recommend a great movie or excellent restaurant to a friend, with Network Marketing the company pays you a ‘thank you’ commission for every referral that purchases the product. How often do you receive cheques in the mail from a film production company or restaurant owner?

Instead of paying thousands or millions of dollars in traditional distribution and advertising (ads, radio, magazines, newspapers, commercials, internet) to put a product on the store shelves and hope it’s the best decision to attract customers, a Network Marketing company has independent distributors to educate people about an innovative product new to market. In essence, the company’s advertising budget is paid out to the people who educate and spread the news.

Why consider Network Marketing?

There is a wealth of reasons to start a home-based business in Network Marketing versus traditional business. Too numerous to list them all, I’m highlighting a few key reasons:

No risk, Low start-up cost, No inventory
Tax write offs – including a portion of your personal consumption
Unlimited earning potential
You own the business you build
Be at home with your children
Get paid for telling people about a product and business opportunity you love
Choose the people you want to work and travel with
Make a difference in other people’s lives and feel great
Have FUN !!!

Network Marketing is a recession-proof industry, a way to create financial & time freedom to do more of what you love – time with family, take longer vacations, give back more time or money to your favourite organization, or whatever your heart will dream up.

An interesting fact, The Direct Selling Association (DSA) reported that the Network Marketing industry generated $30 Billion in annual sales during 2005 in the United States alone. Love it or not, Network Marketing is a viable economic choice that’s here to stay.

Who can start a Network Marketing home-based business?

Anybody! A Networking Marketing business is not for everyone, though anyone can build it! Stay-at-home parents, lawyers, doctors, retired couples, students, ages 18 – 108.

Begin part-time, continuing your current profession as your residual income increases each month, until it replaces and exceeds your current wages. An extra $500 – $1000 can make a difference in most family’s life.

If you treat it like a business, you can change your family’s life in 3-5 years earning an extra $5,000, $10,000, $20,000 per month or more. The great thing is YOU decide how much you want to earn and if you want to go full-time. Remember, this is escalating residual income and it’s absolutely different than wages.

How to decide which Network Marketing company to join?

Not all Network Marketing companies are equal. To succeed, you need to have solid factors in place including proven integral leadership, a highly consumable and highly emotional innovative product, and a lucrative compensation plan that works for everyone and is easy to understand. There are additional factors to consider too.

The company I am working with is one of the Fastest Growing companies in North America of both traditional and Network Marketing companies, growing faster than e-Bay, projected to be in the top ten of all companies in the history of the world. The company sold in their first year more than Pepsi Cola did in their 34th year, and more in their 2nd year than it took IBM 30 years to reach.

To succeed in the business aspect, you truly need to care about other people and discover what is best for them. I honestly believe long term success is in relationship building and as such is Number One on my list. I love this company and am extremely thankful to Jen Plaza, my client and friend who introduced this life-enhancing opportunity to me.

Joy, Love & Abundance!
